About Photo Odyssey
I fell in love with photography back in 2006 when I bought my first DSLR—a Pentax *ist DL. That camera opened the door to a whole new way of seeing the world, and I’ve been hooked ever since.
Over the years, I’ve owned and used gear from almost every major manufacturer. While I’m mostly self-taught, I’ve learned so much from the incredible resources shared online by fellow photographers. It’s a reminder that photography is a lifelong journey—there’s always something new to try, a new perspective to discover, or a new story to tell.
The intent here isn’t to get overly technical—there are already plenty of great sources for deep-dive specs and complex tutorials. Instead, Photo Odyssey is about keeping things grounded in the fundamentals: the principles and practices that really matter for becoming a better photographer.
This blog is my humble attempt to give back. I’ll share what I’ve learned (and what I’m still learning) in the hope that it helps others along their own photography path.
Thanks for stopping by—let’s keep exploring together.
